ROXAS City – Three computer instructors were arrested while having a “pot session” at a resort in Barangay Natividad, Pilar, Capiz.

The 33-year-old Rey Engarcial, 22-year-old Rhandy Tandoy Jr. and 48-year-old Alvin Kho were caught red-handed in a pot session around 4 a.m. on Oct. 25, police said.

Police responded in the area after a caretaker of the resort reported the suspects to authorities.

“Naabtan pa namon sila sa akto nga naga-pot session sang amon gin-kadtuan ang resort,” Police Captain Alfred De Leon told Panay News.

It was learned that the suspects were connected with a computer tutorial school that has entered into a Memorandum of Agreement with a state university.

De Leon said the residue taken from the empty plastic sachet tested positive for shabu based on the laboratory results released by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Iloilo City.

Police also confiscated a blade, cellphones and aluminum foil from the suspects.

Engarcial, Tandoy and Kho were detained in the lockup cell of the Roxas City police station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
