3 wanted persons in Sara, San Enrique, Barotac Viejo fall

ILOILO City – Police have arrested three people wanted for various charges in Sara, San Enrique and Barotac Viejo towns in Iloilo province.

Authorities have been searching for Julieto Caraecla for seven years already, a police report stated. The 55-year-old resident of Barangay Devera, Sara has been wanted for an estafa charge.

Police caught him on Wednesday in Barangay Poblacion, Anilao. They served him a warrant of arrest at around 8 a.m.

Judge Jansen Rodriguez of the Regional Trial Court Branch 6 issued the warrant and set the bail at P48,000.

Caraecla was detained at the Anilao police station.

In Barangay Abaca, San Enrique, Alex Villanueva was arrested at around 2:30 p.m. Monday, another police report showed.

Police said they have been searching for the 52-year-old resident charged with grave threat for eight years already.

They served him a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Cecilia Aronee Celiz-Hofileña of the Municipal Circuit Trial Court on June 3, 2010. The court set the bail at P2,000.

Officers detained the suspect at the San Enrique police station.

On Tuesday in Barangay Poblacion, Barotac Viejo, resident Athena Causing was arrested, too. She was charged with “serious slander by deeds,” still another police report stated.

Officers served her the warrant at around 9 a.m. before taking her to the Barotac Viejo police station. The court set her bail at P3,000.

It was not immediately clear as of this writing if the three suspects have posted bail./PN
