SAN REMIGIO, Antique – So far, 410 residents here have received their first dose of vaccines against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) while 36 completed their second dose.
According to the Rural Health Unit (RHU), the first dose recipients came from the following barangays: Bagumbayan (17), Baladjay (12), Barangbang (31), Cabiawan (eight), Carawisan II (eight), G. Fullon (one), G. Luna (two), Iguirindon (34), Lapak (nine), La Union (three), Lumpatan (27), Magdalena (17), Maragubdub (15), Nagbang II (two), Nasuli (10), Orquia (10), Osorio I (five), Poblacion (55), H. Magsaysay (13), S. Rafael (20), Sumaray (12), Trinidad (49), Tubudan (four), Vilvar (four), and Walker (one).
The RHU-led vaccination here is from Monday to Friday using Sinovac and AstraZeneca jabs – and lately, Sputnik. Target residents are the frontline workers (healthcare workers, rescue and social workers), senior citizens, those with comorbidities (from 18 to 59 years old) such as hypertension, diabetes and asthma, among others.
“Halin kang nag-umpisa ang atun nga pagbakuna kontra COVID-19 duro run ang mga taho ang nagalagas makasulud sa pila para sanda mabakunahan. Gani, ano pa ang ginahulat mo? Magpabakuna run kung imo run turno. Tyansa ta run dya nga makabalik sa kina-andan,” stated the RHU in a statement.
