ILOILO City – Five persons were hurt after a van crashed against a police patrol car in Barangay Bolong Oeste, Sta. Barbara, Iloilo.
Police Staff Sergeants Francisco Sodusta and Windy Ojana sustained minor injuries.
Meanwhile, van passengers Van Francis Laru-an; Kevin Cepra; and Precila Gangoles were brought to the Western Visayas Medical Center in Mandurriao district for treatment. Cepra and Gangoles, who complained of body pains, were eventually discharged from the hospital.
According to police investigators, the
incident happened around 10:20 a.m. on Wednesday.
The police patrol was about to turn left when the van driven by Renante
Guevarra hit the former, the investigators added.
Guevarra, who was unscathed, was detained in the lockup cell of the Sta. Barbara police station, facing charges./PN
