ILOILO City – Five individuals were arrested for illegal cockfighting in Barangay Cuartero, Jaro district.
Tristan John Javier, 27; Diosdado Flore, 37; David Navisada, 62; Jessie Ferrer, 39; and Florante Mirasol, 38 were nabbed around 1 p.m. on April 12.
Their apprehension came after police officers caught them engaging in an illegal cockfight.
Seized from the suspects were four game fowls and bet money which amounted to P320.
They were detained in the lockup cell of the Jaro police station, facing charges./PN
