ILOILO City – Police arrested five illegal drug pushing suspects during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Democracia, Jaro district.
Facing charges for selling and possession of prohibited drugs – violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 – were:
* Jhon Francis Aspa, 23, of Janiuay, Iloilo
* Enreque Julian Mariño, 22, of Valladolid, Negros Occidental
* Dhollor Canuete, 38, of Barangay Democracia, Jaro
* Archie Gonzales, 32, of the same village
* Alvin Bonotano, 32, of the same village
Aspa and Mariño “conspired” with the three other suspects in selling a plastic pack of suspected shabu for P5,000 to a police poseur buyer, a police report stated.
A total of five plastic packs of suspected shabu worth P5,000 and a sachet of dried marijuana leaves were seized from them, the report stated.
Officers from the City Drug Enforcement Unit of the Iloilo City Police Office, Jaro police station and Barotac Nuevo municipal police station in Iloilo province staged the operation at 8:45 p.m. on Tuesday./PN
