BACOLOD City – Five sachets of suspected shabu were seized in an antidrug operation in Barangay Old Poblacion, Escalante City, Negros Occidental.
The suspected drugs were recovered from the 35-year-old resident Joel Alquiza Gonzaga, police said.
Gonzaga was nabbed after he sold suspected shabu to an undercover officer for P500 around 9:05 a.m. on July 7, a police report showed.
The suspected shabu were valued at around P2,500, the report added.
Gonzaga was detained in the lockup cell of the Escalante City police station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
