MANILA – Five Ilonggo basketball players from Santa Clarita International High School Primes are set to move to the juniors’ teams of the University of Perpetual Help Altalettes and the Far Eastern University Baby Tamaraws.

Ralph Bajon, Jemar Cepriano, Wilmer Dalumpines, and Louewelle Cabasag are set to transfer after caching the attention of Altalettes scouts, Primes head coach Rodel Camacho said.

Baby Tamaraws, meanwhile, snagged another Ilonggo player – guard Franc Steven Tono.

Bajon and Dalumpines were part of the Iloilo 3×3 team that recently placed second in the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas U-18 3×3 National Finals at the Robinsons Place in Ermita.

“I am proud for them dahil nagbunga na iyong hard work nila sa practices,” Camacho told Panay News.

“I believe they will not have a hard time adapting Perpetual’s system since mababait naman ang mga iyan and coachable.

Iyan si Ralph and Wilmer mga sanay na iyan representing the Western Visayas teams so I believe they will be a great addition sa high school team ng Perpetual Help,” added Camacho.

As he moves to FEU, Tono will join former Primes teammates John Bryan Sajonia and Marc Kristian Jimenez and ex-Region 6 teammate Ronrei Tolentino.

Si Franc isa rin iyan sa masisipag na player ko sa Primes, and I am happy for him na napunta siya sa FEU,” Camacho said.

Hindi ko pa nga dapat ire-release iyan dahil need ko pa sa team but siyempre I cannot block that opportunity naman.”/PN
