DOUBLEDRAGON Corp. is on track to open Hotel101-Davao on July 30, 2026, marking a significant milestone as it becomes the largest hotel in the entire Mindanao region by room count.
Featuring 519 uniform rooms, the hotel is situated on a prime 5,384-square-meter property along Eco West Drive in Davao City, just a one-minute walk from SM City Ecoland Davao. The newly built complex boasts a premium suite of amenities, including a concessionaire-operated all-day dining HBNB kitchen, a fitness gym, a full-size swimming pool, function/conference rooms, and a helipad.
The Davao opening anchors DoubleDragon’s biggest operational expansion year on record. A total of 2,229 additional rooms are slated to be operational within 2026 across four key destinations: the recently launched 680-room Hotel101-Madrid in Spain, the 519-room Davao site, a 548-room property in Cebu, and the 482-room Hotel101-Niseko in Hokkaido, Japan, scheduled for December.
The aggressive rollout positions DoubleDragon to substantially boost its recurring revenue streams this year from its comprehensive asset-light, prop-tech hospitality portfolio alongside its established mall, office, and industrial warehouse leasing segments.
Also, the domestic and international expansion of Hotel101 are geared towards Hotel101 Global’s vision of 1 million uniform rooms in 100 countries mainly thru the licensing of its unique and novel HBNB business model that provides long-term recurring revenue stream.
Hotel101’s global expansion is likewise expected to eventually become one of the major US dollar inflow generators to the Philippine economy. In 2025, Hotel101 made history as the first ever Filipino company that has a subsidiary listed in the U.S. Nasdaq.
It made another history in March this year as the first-ever Filipino hotel chain brand to operate overseas following the opening of Hotel101-Madrid. The Spain development recorded a milestone single-day revenue exceeding €100,000 Euros at 100% occupancy, validating strong global consumer demand./PN
