BACOLOD City – Six women were detained at the Murcia Municipal Police Station for alleged involvement in illegal gambling.
Rachelle Sebuera, 27; Marilyn Rojo, 34; Evelyn Hervero, 47; Lovely Alipala, 27; Jenelyn Dequilla, 54; and Rogelia Alonsabe, 59, were all residents of Barangay Santa Rosa, Murcia, Negros Occidental.
They were apprehended at around 3:35 p.m. on Feb. 26.
Charges for violation of Presidential Decree 1602, prescribing stiffer penalties for illegal gambling, were filed against the suspects./PN
