ILOILO – After completing two years of service, six police station chiefs in this province would be relieved.
They were Police Majors Joeven Arevalo (Dumangas), Jogen Suegay (Lambunao), Raymond Celoso (Santa Barbara), Roy Tayona (Leganes), and Fernand Limbungan (Maasin), and Police Lieutenant Ma. Doreen Losaria (Badiangan).
Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) director, Police Colonel Gilbert Gorero said police chiefs could not serve police stations for more than two years “bisan manami pa imo performance.”
They are still waiting for their new assignments, according to Gorero.
Gorero added that the Provincial Special Officer’s Promotion and Placement Board is taking charge of the evaluation of Police Commissioned Officers and recommendations as to their assignments.
Gorero added that aside from the six police chiefs, there would also be movement in the IPPO office.
IPPO’s deputy for administration, Police Lieutenant Colonel Romar Peregil, is now undergoing the Public Safety Officers Senior Executive Course (PSOSEC), a mandatory schooling for his next rank. He would be replaced by the deputy for operations, Police Lieutenant Colonel Jeremy Alavaren.
Alavaren’s post would be filled in by Police Lieutenant Colonel Jonathan Pinuela.
Gorero also underscored that the projected reshuffling takes into consideration the overstaying of six chiefs of police and those who are eligible for promotion to the next higher rank.
