ILOILO City – Six people died by suicide this October, according to the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO).
They were from the towns of Ajuy, Batad, Janiuay, Lemery, Pototan, and Sara. Their reasons included depression and family problems, among others.
The IPPO director, Police Colonel Gilbert Gorero, advised the public to often check their family members and friends.
Gorero said they have set up “Pag-Ulikid” desks in the police stations of 42 towns and the component city of Passi.
They can always seek professional help, too, said Gorero./PN
