CAPIZ – A total of 64 couples took part in a mass wedding at the sports complex of Dumarao town, officiated by Mayor Matt Hachuela on Monday, February 16.
The mass wedding was initiated by the Dumarao local government in cooperation with the Capiz provincial government.
Gov. Fredenil Castro and his wife, Congresswoman Jane Castro, served as principal sponsors.
In his speech, Gov. Castro emphasized the importance of love, unity, and commitment in building a lasting relationship. He advised the couples to respect and love each other.
“Maghimakas kag mangin mapisan kamo para magsanyog ang pangabuhi kag ma-provide ang kinahanglanon sang inyo kabataan,” he added./PN
