BACOLOD City – Seven more employees of the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) in this city tested positive for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
This brings to 12 the number of infected in the health facility, according to CLMMRH chief Dr. Julius Drilon.
He said six of the latest cases worked at the hospital’s Information Technology section while the other one was a doctor.
Seventeen other employees are waiting for their test results for COVID-19, he added.
Drilon pointed out that the regional hospital’s employees were infected by a patient whose symptoms only came out after he was admitted there.
“Many of our nurses and institutional workers who had contact with the patient are under quarantine,” he added.
The regional hospital’s outpatient department, department of obstetrics, gynecology department, and neonatal intenstive care unit remain closed. CLMMRH also limits the entry of patients in their Surgery Department./PN
