70,592 Antiqueños fully vaxxed vs COVID

ANTIQUE – As of Sept. 12, the number of Antiqueños fully vaccinated against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) reached 70,592. This was 16 percent of the 432,452 target population for vaccination.

According to the Antique Provincial Health Office (APHO), of the fully vaccinated people, 44,276 completed the shots of two-dose vaccines while 26,316 received the single-shot vaccine by Janssen.

On the other hand, 72,799 more Antiqueños have received their first dose of two-shot vaccines.

Here’s the breakdown of the fully vaccinated Antiqueños by municipality:

* Barbaza – 3,181

* Belison – 956

* Bugasong – 2,271

* Caluya – 3,892

* Culasi – 5,022

* Hamtic – 3,205

* Laua-an – 2,302

* Libertad – 2,294

* Pandan – 10,659

* Patnongon – 2,596

* San Jose – 13,414

* San Remegio – 2,085

* Sebaste – 4,376

* Sibalom – 3,706

* Tibiao – 1,944

* Tobias Fornier – 4,189

* Valderrama – 1,707

The vaccinees were healthcare workers, senior citizens, persons with comorbidities and economic frontliners.

As of Sept. 13, Antique had 697 active COVID-19 cases, 4,460 cases that recovered and 240 that died.

Gov. Rhodora Cadiao urged Antiqueños not to be afraid of vaccines.

“Magpa-vaccine na sanda kay duro run dya ang vaccine naton nga nabaton from the national government,” said Cadiao.

By vaccines, the APHO data showed the following number of doses administered to Antqueños:

* Sinovac – 92,531 doses

* AstraZeneca – 18,136 doses

* Gamaleya – 2,398 doses

* Janssen – 26,316 doses

* Moderna – 3,543 doses

* Pfizer – 467 doses

Last week, the provincial government received 11,000 more doses of Sinovac from the national government./PN
