BACOLOD City – For alleged illegal cockfighting, eight residents were arrested in Barangay Gil Montilla, Sipalay City, Negros Occidental around 9:45 p.m. on Sept. 12.
Recovered from them were 10 game fowls, P8,008 bet money and other paraphernalia, a police report showed.
Suspects Hernando Cunanan, Cezar Dela Cruz, Anastacio Lomeran, Rubico Trasona, Willy Benignos, Ropnelo Gabriel, Roger Tecson, and Manuel Lomeran were detained at the Sipalay City police station, facing charges for violation of the Cockfighting Law./PN
