ANTIQUE – Eight people were arrested around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, in Barangay Union, Libertad town for illegal gambling.
Police Lieutenant Lynje P. Delos Santos, officer-in-charge of the Libertad Municipal Police Station (MPS), said the suspects were caught in the act playing mahjong.
Joint operatives of the Libertad MPS and 2nd Antique Provincial Mobile Force confiscated two sets of mahjong tiles, six pieces of dice, two mahjong tables, and P2,955 bet money.
Delos Santos said the arrested were taken into custody by the Libertad MPS for proper disposition./PN
