8th most wanted man in Iloilo nabbed

ILOILO – Officers of the Tigbauan Municipal Police Station (MPS) apprehended the province’s No. 8 most wanted person during a manhunt operation conducted in Barangay Namocon, Tigbauan, at around 1:35 p.m. on November 15.

The 30-year-old alias “Janjan,” single, businessman, and a resident of the town’s Barangay Poblacion, was taken into custody by virtue of a warrant of arrest for the crimes of statutory rape under Article 266-A (1)(D) of the Revised Penal Code (RPC) as amended by Republic Act 7610, and acts of lasciviousness under Article 336 of the RPC.

The said warrant, issued by Regional Trial Court – Branch 72, 6th Judicial Region in Guimbal, Iloilo, on November 12, 2025, recommended no bail bond for statutory rape, and set P200,000.00 bail for acts of lasciviousness.

Police Brigadier General Josefino D. Ligan, director of the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6), praised the operating unit and reaffirmed PRO-6’s strong commitment to pursuing wanted individuals.

“This arrest reflects our firm dedication to ensuring that those who evade the law are held accountable. Our intensified manhunt operations show that PRO-6 remains relentless in protecting our communities and ensuring that justice is served.
