BACOLOD City – About 99 percent of the inmates at the Metro Bacolod District Jail have already been vaccinated against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), according to Atty. Jairus Dogelio, spokesperson of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) in Region 6.
The unvaccinated others, meanwhile, were those who have opted not to get the jab, Dogelio said.
It was unclear, however, how many completed their vaccination.
Meanwhile, Dogelio said the BJMP here no longer has any active coronavirus case among PDLs in two dormitories located in barangays Taculing and Handumanan.
Dogelio added that at least 346 BJMP officers in Negros Occidental have received their anti-COVID vaccine shots./PN
