BACOLOD City – The Negros Occidental Provincial Police Office will call the attention of one of the members of the Bago City Police Office following a complaint filed against him for alleged child abuse.

Senior Superintendent Rodolfo Castil said he is willing to meet with the grandmother of the victims today in his office to file a formal complaint against Police Officer 3 Norman Labrador.

Gemma Guanzon, grandmother of Labrador’s children, wrote to John Chiong, commander of the Task Force Kasanag (TFK), to help her in getting her grandchildren from the police officer.

She said her grandchildren, aged 9 and 7, are not treated well by the policeman.

The grandmother also said she has already filed a complaint before the Regional Trial Court, Branch 62 for custody over her two grandchildren. The case is still pending in court.

Guanzon explained that the police officer and her daughter lived together. But when her daughter died due to cervical cancer seven months ago, Labrador forcibly took the children.

Guanzon said she asked the help of TFK because she has been receiving threats from the police officer.

Guanzon, in her letter to Chiong dated July 1, requests Castil to transfer Labrador to other places.

The grandmother also alleged that her grandchildren are being left to other persons.

As facilitator, Chiong immediately submitted the letter Castil./PN
