BACOLOD City – Charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 were filed against two residents of Zone 4, Gonzaga Street, Barangay 2, Victorias City, Negros Occidental.

Ponciano Tang Jr., 40, and Antonio Salgon, 24, were arrested in a buy-bust operation staged by the Drug Enforcement Unit of the Victorias City police station, said Superintendent German Garbosa, station chief.

They sold shabu to an undercover officer for P300. Five plastic packs of suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia, P200 cash, and two mobile phones were recovered from them, a police report showed.

Tang already surrendered as part of Oplan Double Barrel and charged with violation of Republic Act 9165, and was out on bail, Garbosa said.

Salgon, meanwhile, was in the watch list of drug personalities of the Victorias City police station.

Both suspects were detained at the police station lockup cell after their arrest around 9 p.m. on July 18./PN
