BACOLOD City – A road accident killed one person and injured 40 others in Barangay Himocdongon, Mabinay, Negros Oriental.
Resident Anthony Romano, 18, died after sustaining head and body injuries.
Romano and the injured others, including the driver, were on board a cargo truck heading to a wedding in Pontevedra, Negros Occidental.
The vehicle lost its brake and fell off the hillside around 9 a.m. on Friday, a police report showed.
The injured passengers and the driver were brought to the hospital.
Mabinay municipal police are investigating the incident./PN
