ILOILO City – One of his neighbors were disturbed that the drunken Jessie Armollo was being unruly in his house in Barangay East Baluarte, Molo district.
They called for help from the barangay tanods (village watchmen).
Two tanods – one of them identified as Joemarie Salarda, 46 – went to the house of Armollo and warned the latter, but they were ignored, a police report showed.
The tanods then arrested Armollo. He tried to resist but was later subdued.
After explaining his offense (causing alarm and disturbance), the tanods brought the 23-year-old Armollo to the Molo police station where he was detained.
The incident happened around 12:30 a.m. on July 23./PN
