BACOLOD City – Registration for the 5th Art Contest in Negros Occidental and Negros Oriental is ongoing.
The on-the-spot contest, initiated by Victorias Milling Company (VMC) and VMC Foundation, aims to promote youth development through the visual arts.
The contest is open to all bonafide students in the two Negros provinces.
There will be three categories: elementary (Grades 1 to 6), secondary (Grades 7 to 12) and tertiary (college students).
“The competition seeks to inculcate the value of perseverance and hard work to the youth,” said VMC public relations consultant Maria Ester Espina.
Those interested to join may send filled-out forms and work samples to vmcart@yahoo.com and vmcartcontest@gmail.com not later than Sept. 9.
The final judging and exhibit will be on Sept. 23 at the SMX Convention Center in this city./PN
