ILOILO City – A woman complained getting physically assaulted after a heated argument with a former policeman, a police report showed.

Marielon Rabaca, 34, of Barangay Punong, Lapuz district accused neighbor Daniel “Ingoy” Garcia, 51, of berating and slapping her.

Rabaca went outside their house around 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 24 to look for her mother only to get confronted by Garcia, she claimed.

“Sawayon mo si Mama mo nga indi ako pagpabati-batian,” Garcia told Rabaca, the police report stated. “Diputa ka, gaga ka! Puli to sa inyo balay, panugid to kay Papa mo. Wala may ma-witness sa inyo! Wala may maapin kay hadlok sila tanan sa akon!”

Garcia then slapped Rabaca 10 times and grabbed her left hand and twisted it, the woman told the police.

The police were letting the barangay lupon handle the case./PN
