SAN JOSE, Antique – Gov. Rhodora Cadiao will sign a memorandum of agreement with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) making the province the pilot area for the latter’s tourism project.
Experience Antique Village will showcase the culture, lifestyle and replicas of various tourist destinations in the province.
“It will be a show window of what tourist can enjoy in Antique,” said Cadiao on Monday.
A seven-hectare land in Barangay Igbucagay, Hamtic was proposed for the project.
“NCCA will fund the project while the provincial government will provide the lot,” said Provincial Tourism Officer Ramlu Villaluna.
Personnel of the Provincial Tourism Office and the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office already started planting flowers along roads.
The project’s construction will be from October to December, in time for the Biniyaran Festival. (PNA)
