BACOLOD City – The groundbreaking of a 67-hectare lot for a residential estate was conducted yesterday in Barangay Rizal, Silay City, Negros Occidental.

La Alegria Residential Estate, the first master-planned lake residential community in the Negros Island, was a joint venture of the Sta. Lucia Land, Inc. (SLLI) as the lot developer, the Orchard Property Marketing Corp. (OPMC) as SLLI’s marketing arm, and the Claudio Lopez, Inc., the land owner.

“La Alegria will be designed around a 5.7-hectare man-made lake, La Aurora, which will be a setting for celebrations,” said OPMC president Eduardo Tirona.

Mayor Mark Golez said he was excited for the project.

“I am happy that several development plans and projects are based in Silay,” said Golez./PN
