BACOLOD City – House representatives from Negros Occidental and Negros Oriental must have a “common denominator” to revive the Negros Island Region under a federal form of government.
Mary Jane Locsin, spokesperson of Save Our Language through Federalism, said this prior to attending the 1st Isabela Annual Municipal Convention today at the Socio- Cultural Center in Isabela, Negros Occidental.
“It will entirely depend on them (representatives). They will be the one to lobby (the revival of the) Negros Island Region,” said Locsin.
Locsin added businessmen in the Negros Island must be ready once the revival happens. “Federalism not only about cultural autonomy, but also economic autonomy,” she explained.
Meanwhile, Task Force Kasanag national commander John Chiong pledged to facilitate events seeking to spread information about federalism./PN
