BACOLOD City – Hospital chief Julius Drilon of the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital shed light on the policy that prohibits bringing “outside food” in the rooms of patients.
This was after several patient watchers complained about the policy.
Drilon said it has been implemented in the hospital for several years already.
He said the policy aims to prevent infections that “outside food,” or those bought from outside the hospital, may cause.
Drilon added that the hospital has tons of daily garbage. Food packages brought by watchers will just add to the waste, some of which have clogged the lavatories.
“The hospital has food supply for the patients. Their watchers need not worry anymore,” Drilon said.
The hospital chief hopes the watchers and patients will understand the policy./PN
