ILOILO City – A family of three was attacked by a drunken man inside a public market in Barangay Katilingban, Molo district.
Police identified the suspect as Salvador Rubi Jr.
Rubi offered Noli Alan Bagolcol a “shot” of an alcoholic beverage.
At the time, Bagolcol was with his wife Keysel Belen and their 6-year-old daughter AiraShain Belen, a police report stated.
Bagolcol, who was carrying his daughter, refused. Rubi got irked and punched Bagolcol several times, police said.
Their daughter was also hit on the right elbow. Keysel Belen tried to break them up but was also hit on the neck.
Sensing the responding barangay tanods and police officers, Rubi ran away to escape.
Police referred the incident, which transpired at around 10:30 p.m. on Sept. 16, to the barangay lupon./PN
