ILOILO City – Depressed by his illness, a 36-year-old resident of Barangay Rizal Pala-Pala 2, City Proper committed suicide, a police report showed.
His brother found Ernie Acocon hanging from the ceiling of his bedroom with an orange nylon rope tied around his neck on Wednesday.
The brother, 44-year-old Edmon, asked help from his relatives in putting Acocon’s body down, the police report stated.
Edmon told the police his brother was depressed by his illness. The police report did not indicate the illness.
Police Station 1 officers found in Acocon’s bedroom a suicide note and said they did not find a sign of struggle or foul play.
Acocon’s body was taken to a funeral home in Barangay Balabago, Jaro for autopsy./PN
