BACOLOD City – An unidentified suspect shot dead a man in Barangay 1, Isabela, Negros Occidental.
The 54-year-old resident Jimmy Alingco was coming out of his house along Montilla Street when the gunman fired at him around 5 p.m. on Oct. 19, a police report showed.
The gunman was hiding in a computer shop in front of Alingco’s house when the shooting happened, police said.
Alingco was rushed to the Ignacio Lacson Arroyo Sr. Memorial District Hospital in Isabela where Dr. Armilyn Ansag declared him “dead on arrival.”
The suspect fled after the shooting, leaving a pair of slippers behind, police said.
Police were still identifying the suspect and the motive in the shooting./PN
