SAN JOSE, Antique – Micro, small and medium (MSMEs) joined a three-day product bazaar held at the Tradetown in Barangay Dalipe in this capcital town.
The Department of Trade and Industry’s Diskwento, which was conducted from Oct. 14 to 16, generated a total income of P67,907.
The revenue was from 382 buyers of discounted products in the bazaar.
Trade and Industry specialist Glen Fernando said the event aims to help both consumers and MSME owners.
“MSMEs that participated in the event were provided free booths,” Fernando added.
Ivory candle was the top grosser of the event garnering P31,000.
Even with a lower number of buyers compared to last year’s 456, this year’s bazaar generated higher income. Last year’s sales was P60,000.
Peanut butter, detergent soap, candles, sugar, and homecare items, among others, were the products sold in the bazaar. (PIA/PN)
