BACOLOD City – A tricycle driver was killed in a shooting in Barangay Estefania around 2:45 a.m. yesterday.
The 25-year-old Ryan Tajanlangit sustained a gunshot wound on the chest, a police report showed.
Tajanlangit was rushed to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital where he was pronounced “dead on arrival” around 4 a.m.
Investigation revealed that Tajanlangit was dancing in a baylehan when a certain “To May Gamay” of Barangay Vista Alegre fired at him using a .38-caliber gun.
Senior Police Officer 1 Jared Esquilla of Police Station 4 said To May Gamay’s companions – who are still unidentified – struck Tajanlangit using a bottled beer after the latter was shot.
Police were still locating To May Gamay and his companions./PN
