ILOILO – A businesswoman reported to the police of Mina town she lost P80,000 to six robbers in Barangay Tolarucan.
According to 28-year-old Quenne Octavio, the holdup happened around 5 a.m. on Nov. 1.
The robbers stopped her motorcycle and grabbed her bag containing the money.
Chief Inspector Ma. Theresa Lero, police chief of Mina, said Octavio identified two suspects – Alfie Defensor, 35, of Barangay Tolarucan and John Dave Lopez, 25, of Barangay Bitaoyan, Badiangan.
“The victim immediately reported the incident after the robbers left. We conducted a manhunt operation and arrested the two men,” said Lero.
She believed the robbers had been monitoring the movement of Octavio for quite some time.
Octavio was a resident of Janiuay adjacent to Mina. The robbers had guns, she told the Mina police.
Defensor and Lopez were detained at the Mina police station./PN
