ILOILO City – In Barangay Union, Nabas, Aklan, a resident was detained yesterday for allegedly attempting to shoot another villager.
An unlicensed .38 revolver was seized from Eric Gestopa, a police report showed.
Facing grave threat and illegal possession of a firearm charges, Gestopa was detained at the Nabas police station.
Benjie Albaciete, 27, complained to the police that Gestopa went to his boardinghouse at around 1:45 a.m. and tried to shoot him.
They grappled for the gun until Albaciete managed to disarm Gestopa, a police report showed.
Albaciete turned over the firearm to the police./PN
