BACOLOD City – Accused of child abuse, a resident of Barangay Granada was detained in Police Station 5.
The 64-year-old Jolito Lasquite was charged with violating Republic Act 7610, or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act, a police report showed.
Officers served him a warrant of arrest at his house on Nov. 7.
The police report did not indicate the judge who issued the warrant against the suspect.
But it showed that the court recommended an P80,000 bail bond for the suspect’s temporary liberty./PN
