BACOLOD City – A Ceres bus hit a 3-year-old girl in Barangay Sag-ang, La Castellana, Negros Occidental, a police report showed.
Bernaline Oliveros Buluron was brought by local government rescuers to the Municipal Health Office but later transferred to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital in this capital city.
She sustained injuries on various parts of the body, police said.
Police said the incident happened at around 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
Juanito Rebalde Atendan, driver of the bus (body number 552) bound for Canlaon City, Negros Oriental, insisted it was an accident. The girl suddenly crossed the road, he told the police.
The 47-year-old resident of Barangay Masulog, Canlaon City turned himself in to the La Castellan police after the incident./PN
