ILOILO City – Police were still trying to identify who shot a laborer in Maayon, Capiz yesterday and why.
Roel Demayo, 32, of Barangay Maalan sustained gunshot wounds on the right shoulder and chest.
He was confined in the Bailan District Hospital in Pontevedra town.
Demayo driving a motorcycle at around 5 a.m. in Barangay Tuburan when attacked, a police report showed.
The still unidentified suspect ran away, police said, citing witness accounts.
The Maayon police station was still investigating the incident as of this writing./PN
