UNIVERSITY of San Agustin and Central Philippine University dominated the 2017 Iloilo Private Schools Athletic Association (ILOPRISAA) Meet volleyball tournament by clinching three championships each on Friday in Iloilo City.
San Agustin captured the title in elementary boys and girls and tertiary men while CPU ruled secondary boys and girls and tertiary women.
San Agustin defeated CPU in all three titular matches.
Meanwhile, CPU ruled secondary boys by beating John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University and the distaff side by downing Sun Yat Sen High School.
Golden Lions captured the tertiary women tiara against San Agustin.
In beach volleyball, CPU won the secondary girls and the tertiary women events while San Agustin ruled secondary girls. Iloilo Doctors’ College bagged the tertiary men title.
Moreover, Hua Siong College of Iloilo captured the secondary boys basketball title by dominating over Santa Clarita International High School Primes 83-68 at the Iloilo Sports Complex.
St. Roberts International Academy Panda Rockets, on the other hand, salvaged a third place finish after fending off San Agustin 82-77./PN
