ILOILO City – The identity of the woman found dead in Barangay Devera, Sara, Iloilo on Saturday remains a mystery.
According to Sara police chief, Senior Inspector Gilbert Archide, they counted 17 stab wounds on the woman.
The Sara police station also remains clueless on who killed her and why.
The body was found in a rice field near the highway.
“No one from Sara could identify her. Perhaps she was not from here,” said Archide.
She placed the woman’s age between 18 to 22 years old, and her height 5 feet and 1 inch.
There were no outward signs that she was raped, said Archide, noting that the woman was fully clothed.
“But we requested the Police Regional Office 6 Crime Laboratory in Camp Delgado, Iloilo City for an autopsy,” said Archide./PN
