TRINITY Christian School and St. John’s Institute bagged titles in the 1st St. John the Baptist Volleyball Tournament held recently in Bago City, Negros Occidental.
Trinity – the back-to-back Nopsscea elementary champion – topped the elementary division after beating teams from La Carlota City, University of St. La Salle, SJI, and Calvary Baptist Academy of Pontevedra.
Elementary players of Trinity were Kyra Palma, Celine Marsh, Gwynneth Tamayo, Lianna Figueroa, Sofia dela Cruz, Pauleene Visaya, Jaimee Alic, Keisha Padayhag, Jullianne Almario, Mariel Romero, Ryeangel Carmona, and Rome Christine Waminal.
Trinity also took home a silver medal in the secondary division behind Keya Gargar, Claudia Villanueva, Hannah Develos, Ainne Arela, LeAnn Lorraine Develos, Erika Jin Deloria, Gwyn Maricon Lopez, Daneea Jardiolin, and Roxette Costan.
SJI, on the other hand, dominated the 18 and Under event, which was participated by 11 teams from both public and private schools in Negros Occidental.
Serving as Trinity team’s coaches were Peter Yusay, Michael Baloyo and Herbel Bello, while representing the school were Sports Coordinator Andrew Tan and faculty member Rose Ann Diwatin./PN
