BACOLOD City – Four people including a 3-year-old boy died in a vehicular crash yesterday in Barangay Atipuluan, Bago City, Negros Occidental.
The casualties were on board a Hyundai Eon urban car when a sugarcane-loaded 10-wheeler truck crashed into it, initial police investigation showed.
Superintendent Gilbert Gorero, spokesperson for the Police Regional Office 6, identified the victims as Romulo Espinosa and wife Josephine, their daughter Christine Sarsia and their 3-year-old grandson John Vincent.
All the casualties were residents of La Carlota City. They were pronounced “dead on arrival” at the Bago City District Hospital, police said.
The incident happened at around 1:30 p.m.
Herman Mohametano of Barangay Lag-asan, Bago City was driving the truck, police said.
Bago City police were still investigating the incident as of press time./PN
