ILOILO City – Fighting in a restobar at Smallville gave two groups of men a taste of what it feels to get arrested and detained.
Three brothers from Barangay San Roque, Jaro district got into a brawl with a group of 18-year-old men at Aura in the entertainment complex in Barangay San Rafael, Mandurriao at around 2:30 a.m. yesterday.
Among those involved were Carl Francis Gepanayao, Turk Kurt Flores, John Mar Besona, and Renz Albert Grande, all 18 years old.
They claimed they were just protecting a companion who they believe was punched by one of the Fuentes brothers Romar, 24, Christian, 20, and Nico, 21, a police report showed.
The Fuentes brothers, on the other hand, insisted that they did not start the fight.
Christian said one from the group of Gepanayo beat Romar. They were just getting back at their attackers, police said.
All the men were detained at the Mandurriao police station custodial facility but were released later in the day./PN
