ATHLETES from the stable of Mark V. Pinggol brought home 15 medals during the 2017 Regional CPJ Taekwondo tournament at the PAREF-Westbridge School covered gym in Iloilo City.
Mostly coming from Ateneo de Iloilo, the jins stamped class in the boys’ and girls’ kyorugi on Dec. 10, capturing 13 gold and two silver medals.
Winning gold medals in girls’ kyorugi were Mary Wen Rivera, Angela Joy Marie Bermejo, Lyme Tanaka, Sophia Grace Go, Samantha Gayle Go, Sheine Nicole de Asis, Elysa Nicole Magno, Akimeh Demavivas, and Joanne Ja Samson.
Capturing gold medals in boys’ kyorugi events were Jed Pyro Muyong, Josh Carl Macahilig, Aiken Emanual Avaricio, and Christian Pudadera. Bagging silver were Neilin Jo Samson and Ameila Carla Victoria.
“As a coach, I am glad because all of the 15 athletes who joined won medals,” Pinggol told Panay News. “Our players will surely do everything to improve their performance further in our next events.”
