BACOLOD City – A total of 43 households in Purok Peña, Barangay Bunga, Salvador Benedicto, Negros Occidental have been energized under the Sitio Electrification Program of the Central Negros Electric Cooperative (Ceneco).
A simple switch-on ceremony was held in the sitio last week. It was led by Ceneco District 7 Board of Directors member Dwight Carbon together with area manager Hernani Veniegas Jr. and area engineer Joeme Talde.
Staff members from the Ceneco Bacolod main office and Murcia field office also attended the ceremony.
Barangay Bunga village chief Marilou Alcober, in behalf of the residents, thanked Ceneco for providing them power supply.
Ceneco general manager Sulpicio Lagarde said the Sitio Electrification Program is the electric cooperative’s way of taking part in helping achieve the National Electrification Administration’s vision of “Energizing the Countryside and Electrifying the Future.”
Last month, Ceneco also provided power supply to 38 households in Sitio Anangue, Barangay Buenavista, Murcia, Negros Occidental under the program./PN
