ILOILO City – A 26-year-old house caretaker in a posh subdivision in Barangay San Isidro, La Paz district killed himself, police said.
Dondie Catiempo, a native of Negros Occidental, was found dead on the floor of a comfort room, a police report showed.
Catiempo worked for the 51-year-old Leo Malunes, the owner of the house on Block 17, Lot 6, Phase 2 of Puerto Real subdivision. Malunes informed the police about Catiempo’s death.
Another worker found Catiempo with a nylon rope tied around his neck and with his nose bleeding at around 4 p.m. on Dec. 20, police said.
Investigators ruled the incident as suicide. They found no sign of foul play.
They learned from his family that Catiempo was suffering from depression./PN
