ILOILO City – Three suspected illegal drug peddlers were arrested in Barangay Quintin Salas, Jaro district.
Twenty sachets of suspected shabu were seized from them, a police report showed.
Hauled to the Jaro police station were:
* Nashley Sumbanon, 21, of Barangay Cuartero, Jaro
* Ronnel Flores, 36, of Barangay Quintin Salas, Jaro
* Jeremay Caromay, 24
They face charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit of the Iloilo City Police Office staged the sting operation at around 10:50 p.m. on Thursday in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 6.
Police accused the suspects of “conspiring with each other” in selling a plastic pack of suspected shabu to an undercover officer for P1,100.
Nineteen sachets of the same substance were recovered from the suspects, the police report stated.
The seized items were taken to the regional crime laboratory./PN
