ILOILO City – Accused of indiscriminately firing a gun, a 47-year-old man was arrested on F. Parcon Street, Pototan, Iloilo.
Nolie Jordan of Magbanua Street, Pototan, Iloilo was detained at the municipal police station after he was caught at around 9:40 p.m. on Dec. 29.
He faces a charge for illegal possession of firearm, police said.
But Jordan claimed that he was provoked.
He and Bonifacio Perez had a heated argument. Then two companions of the latter mauled him, prompting him to get his .357 revolver from his sling bag and discharge it to the ground, he told the police.
Perez cannot be reached for comment as of this writing./PN
