BACOLOD City – A man faces charges after he dropped his 28-day-old daughter in Purok 5, Barangay Basak, Cauayan, Negros Occidental, a police report showed. The baby died.
The 47-year-old resident Jolito Alandroque got furious of his child’s crying, that’s why he dropped her around 11 p.m. on Dec. 28, the report further stated.
Alandroque was drunk when the incident happened, said Chief Inspector Alan Gary Resuma, head of the Cauayan police station.
It was not immediately clear if the mother of the child was there during the incident.
Alandroque was detained at the Cauayan police station’s lockup facility./PN
